What’s at the end of the rainbow?
Homer Laughlin seems to have found a pot of gold with its color Shamrock. Introduced in 2002, it’s the basic green staple in the Fiesta line. Additionally, of all the Fiesta we’ve found used at restaurants, shamrock is a leading color. Practically every Mexican restaurant that uses Fiesta serves it on shamrock, probably because it’s so close to the color of the Mexican flag.
Has HLC been taken over by leprechauns?
Some people find shamrock too bright. However it’s continuous production since 2002 proves that HLC’s always been pretty lucky when it comes to sales of shamrock green. Pieces in the photograph moving clockwise are the Fiesta Ice Bucket, medium-disc pitcher and mini-disc pitcher, a tumbler and a presentation bowl.
If you seek more exciting shades of green, you can always look to Lemongrass, or, the 2-year run color Chartreuse. I enjoy mixing Shamrock with Scarlet Red.
