Ingredients

  • 1 cup (1/2 pint) heavy cream, chilled
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. This will whip up and come together quicker and better if all ingredients, as well as the bowl used for whipping, are chilled.
  2. Put the vanilla and cream in the bowl of an electric mixer (or a bowl with high sides if you’re using a hand mixer).
  3. Begin beating the cream, adding the sugar a tablespoon at a time.
  4. Whip until stiff peaks form.
  5. Do not overbeat or you’ll make butter.
