Cindy’s cream cheese frosting is a simple frosting that’s good across a wide variety of cakes. This is enough for a two or three-layer cake. If you use really quality vanilla, you’ll definitely taste it.

Ingredients
- 1 pound (3-3/4 cups) confectioners’ sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Cream together the cream cheese and butter.
- Beat in the sugar, adding milk and vanilla.
- Makes enough to frost an 8- or 9-inch two-layer cake.
