Ingredients

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 clove garlic, minced or pressed

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup catsup

1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon prepared mustard (your choice: Dijon, German, yellow)

1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, sauté onion and garlic in the butter until tender.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes.
Notes
Use as a basting sauce for pork, chicken or beef. Refrigerate leftovers.
