Another chocolate chip cookie variation, and this one’s a winner. You can serve Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

1 cup shortening

1-3/4 cups sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon baking soda

4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups chocolate chips
-
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Sift together the dry ingredients, and set aside.
- Cream together the shortening and the sugar.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, and add the vanilla and sour cream.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
- When mixed well, add the chocolate chips and pecans.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
